If / When SHTF don't depend on the cops. You are on your own.

This evening my Wife witnessed a hit and run accident and was smart enough to grab the plate number of the offender. As soon as she got home she called it in via the non emergency line. She was told to call 911 and the clown hung up on her.
So she called 911 and they told her they couldn't take the report and to call the non emergency line. Then she called the non emergency line back but because she didn't have the cross street they wouldn't take the report.
OK a minute on Google maps and we have the cross st.
Call it in again and she is told they don't take reports from witnesses to accidents. What?
Unbelievable. So some poor slob gets run off the road and the cops aren't interested?
What exactly are these ((*()? losers being paid for?
I know they can write tickets. Is there anything else they are good for?

The Mayors office is getting a call tomorrow. If I don't see some action within the hour from that the local newspapers are getting a call.

On second thoughts the article title should say "You are on your own now"
Edit: Everyone is getting a call tomorrow.

Wow, hey? It does make you wonder what they're exactly employed by us for. Haha. Funny thing is that if you tell a cop that he works for you...well, you can imagine how they might react.

I guess there's a lesson in there, maybe a few.

Ah ... it's Samuel Francis' concept of anarcho-tyranny. From wikipedia:

Anarcho-tyranny

Samuel Francis argued that the problems of managerial state extend to issues of crime and justice ... He once defined it this way: "we refuse to control real criminals (that's the anarchy) so we control the innocent (that's the tyranny)."

In one of his last essays, he explained the concept:
What we have in this country today, then, is both anarchy (the failure of the state to enforce the laws) and, at the same time, tyranny—the enforcement of laws by the state for oppressive purposes; the criminalization of the law-abiding and innocent through exorbitant taxation, bureaucratic regulation, the invasion of privacy, and the engineering of social institutions, such as the family and local schools; the imposition of thought control through "sensitivity training" and multiculturalist curricula, "hate crime" laws, gun-control laws that punish or disarm otherwise law-abiding citizens but have no impact on violent criminals who get guns illegally, and a vast labyrinth of other measures. In a word, anarcho-tyranny.

While the government functions normally, violent crime remains a constant, creating a climate of fear (anarchy). He says that "laws that are supposed to protect ordinary citizens against ordinary criminals" routinely go unenforced, even though the state is "perfectly capable" of doing so. While this problem rages on, government elites concentrate their interests on law-abiding citizens. In fact, Middle America winds up on the receiving end of both anarchy and tyranny.

I am more than pissed at this. I have been on the receiving end of the tyranny. Hand cuffs, finger prints for nonsense (not showing up in land court).
Traffic stops for speeding and other stupidities but you know you kind of dismiss them as part of living in society and not playing by the rules.

So I'm a scofflaw and get what I deserve. But that poor schmuck is going to have to suffer because they are too lazy to take a report. I don't think so.

The cops hanging up on a citizen reporting a crime?? Refusing to take a report??

The last time I was this pissed I got my story published the Boston Herald and had every politician in the city calling me.

It's on.

I think the integrity of a nation's police force is a great proxy for the integrity of the nation as a whole. (I'm reminded of the cops in the Eli Roth flick Hostel -- a great movie btw that should've laid off the over-the-top gore; real horror is in the story line, as when you learn with the protagonist that the police work for the bad guys. Reminds me of the CFTC.)

Anyway, if th epolice piss you off now, just wait until the year America dissolves

"It was 2017. Clans were governing America
The first clans organized around local police forces ...

--written, btw, by the wise (albeit kooky) former head of the US Treasury Paul Craig Roberts

This is an outrage and a disgrace.

Remember hurricane Katrina? In the aftermath the police were DISARMING citizens and while the predators were armed and terrorizing neighborhoods.
Always remember the government's guns are not there for your protection, they are for their protection.
